Identifying the MGA 1600 MKII DeLuxe

There are only five variations of the MGA

The 1500, 1600, MKII, Twin Cam and the 1600 MKII DeLuxe.

The three major MGA models may be readily identified by their tail-lamp
and grille configurations as well as their engine displacement badge.

1600 MKII DeLuxe cars used the Twin Cam chassis with the pushrod 1622 engine.
The MGA DeLuxe was built from the remaining Twin Cam chassis that were left over after Twin Cam production had ceased.
The cars were numbered along with the 1600 and 1600 MKII chassis numbers.

The DeLuxe models were equipped with Dunlop disc brakes on all wheels and the Twin Cam style centrelock disc wheels.
Also the seats were different, the DeLuxe (or competition) seats have additional piping around the centre panels in contrast colour on black seats.
