Identifying the MGA-Twin Cam

There are only five variations of the MGA

The 1500, 1600, MKII, Twin Cam and the 1600 MKII De Luxe.

The three major MGA models may be readily identified by their tail-lamp
and grille configurations as well as their engine displacement badge.

The Twin Cam had a double overhead camshaft engine, Dunlop disc brakes at front and rear with centre locked disc wheels.
The facia panel is covered in vynide but the scuttle top above the facia is still painted body colour.
A bright frame around the speaker grille and a chrome finisher along the lower edge of the panel.

The Twin Cam can either be equipped with the early 1500 style front and rearlamps as well as the later 1600 style lamps.
Also an engine displacement badge "Twin Cam" marker was mounted on the shroud and boot lid and the seats were of the DeLuxe model.
